El presente de subjuntivo se utiliza :
-La expresión de un deseo: "Mi madre quiere que ESTUDIE medicina "
-La expresión de la duda: "No se lo que hacer cuando esto PASE"
-La aparición en expresiones más o menos fijas, como es probable…
1. Tengo mucho que hacer = I have a lot to do. Or "I have much to do."
2. No hay nada que hacer = "There is nothing to do."
Respecto al cuando:
"Cuando" lleva el subjuntivo en sentido hipotético, como ya has leído. Por ejemplo, "Cuando llegue mi m…
If it's a present/future situation, you use the present subjunctive. ALWAYS. Present (being the tense) Subjunctive (the mood).
1) Regrese
2) pase
3) Estés
4) tengas
5) salga DE
1. Te llamaré cuando REGRESE a casa.
I will call you when I get back. [en inglés usamos el tiempo presente en este caso]
2. No sé què hacer cuando PASE eso.

Thanks for your message, nice to hear from you. I am actually from Calgary, but still not so far away as many other members on this site! I am taking spanish and love it...although I am a very slow learner! Both my sons go to Spanish bilingual schools and are already way past me! But it is so fun to learn. Right now I am enrolled in some University classes (evening, continuing education classes) but will be taking the summer off so I need a way to practise over the summer. Like you said, it is a challenge to find people to chat with, that is def where I need some work. Thanks for the livemocha info, it looks great. I use studyspanish a lot, but it is mostly for written lessons that are very clear and easy to understand.
