please help me revise this my english is not so clear thanks

I did an interview to get a little more insight on pediatric nursing. Patricia is a neighbor that I interviewed. She is 30 years, single mom with kids. She attended University of Michigan. She grew up in California and now she lives in Michigan. I asked her if I could interview for her for my I search paper. This is her following statements. Patricia says the best work of a nurse is to see that I help to improve the quality of life of children and its family. She has studied many years to specialize in this profession. She quotes “It has been somewhat difficult since there is so much time studying this practice.”She says the best thing about this job is to see how you save the lives of children. She is so thankful to see that the families are satisfied with her work. Patricia says she hates that she can't stay with her own children during special moments because she always gets called on her off days. The only thing she wants more is some “sleep when she gets home”. She says it affects her a lot and it is necessary to be prepared for working long hours when one enter this type of work. She quotes “I have to dedicate myself and work long hours, I don't have time to rest or spend time with the family and that affects me emotionally”. She works 12 hours shifts weekly, If there is an emergency, they call her at home to pick up extra hours. She applies the knowledge she learned in school to her work. She makes about $1500 dollars she works part-time but she is on call. She says the good aspects of being a nurse is to see kids and their families: happy. The bad aspect is not having a long time to rest and not being with her family on the holidays. Patricia says it is necessary to know how to support families emotionally if their child is sick or died. Patricia says when she see those ill children and everything that happens to them, it gets her worry as I have children and I hope that they don't have to suffer like the children that I take care of.

I interviewed my neighbor, Patricia, to get a little more insight about pediatric nursing. She is a 30 year old single mom with kids. She grew up in California, attended the University of Michigan, and now lives in Michigan. I asked her if I could interview for her for my research paper.

Patricia says, "The best part of being a nurse is to see that I help to improve the quality of life for children and their families." She has studied many years to specialize in this profession. She said “It has been somewhat difficult since it takes so long to study this practice.” She says that the best thing about this job is to see how you save the lives of children. She is so thankful to see that the families are satisfied with her work. Patricia says she hates that she can't stay with her own children during special moments because she always gets called on her off days.

I interviewed with one of my neighbours, Patricia, to gain insight into pediartic nursing. Patricia is a 30 years old single mother who has been working as a pediatric nurse for University of Michigan. (I couldn't understand this part so well that attend UM to work or study?). I asked her if I could interview with her for my research paper. These are her following statements.
According to Patricia, the best part of being a pediatric nurse is to experience assisting to improve the life quality of children and their families. She has studied for many years to specialize in this profession and she is so thankful that families are pleased with her exertion. On the other hand Patricia indicated, “It has been somewhat difficult since there is so much time studying this practice.” As Patricia mentiones, she hates that she can't spend enough time with her own children during special moments because she has been usually called on her off days. The only thing she wishes more is some “sleep when she gets home”. She pointes out that it is necessary to be prepared for long working hours if one gets a job like that. As Patricia indicated, “I have to dedicate myself and work long hours, I don't have time to rest or spend time with the family and that affects me emotionally”. She has been working 12 hours shifts weekly and when there is an emergency, she is picked up from home to work extra hours.
She has been applying the knowledge she learned in school to her work. She earns about $1500 dollars from this part-time job but she is on call. As Patricia mentions, the good aspect of being a nurse is to see kids and their families happy but the bad aspect is not having a long time to rest and not being with her family on the holidays. In addition to these, Patricia said that it is necessary to know methods of supporting families emotionally if their child is sick or dead. Finally, Patricia expressed that she worries about her children when she sees those ill children and everything that happens to them. She hopes that her children won't have to suffer like the children that she has been taking care of.

I tried to correct mistakes that I saw but I could make mistakes too. I hope that will help you.
